Climate Change Programme

As an accredited entity to the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the climate change programme makes up the majority of the Department of Environment’s portfolio. The DOE has several projects being implemented under the climate change programme which focus on a combination of adaptation and mitigation strategies.

Beyond infrastructure, we prioritize community-led action by providing accessible funding and technical support to local organizations and small businesses. By bridging the gap between international climate finance and on-the-ground needs, the DOE ensures that resilience-building measures—from water security to renewable energy—are integrated at every level of society. Our commitment remains focused on safeguarding our natural resources while building a sustainable, low-carbon future for all residents of Antigua and Barbuda.
