Purpose & Objective of Consultancy The Terms of Reference is framed within the context of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) 2018–2030 Strategic Framework, the Performance Review and Assessment of Implementation System (PRAIS) reporting mechanism, and the Barbados Programme of Action (BPoA) for the Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States (SIDS). The purpose of the Project Assistant post is to assist in supporting the planning and implementation of activities/processes, ensuring quality and results by: – Providing support to the UNCCD Focal Point in facilitating the capture, compilation and population of the PRAIS portal. -Supporting planning, monitoring and evaluation activities of the project, under the supervision of the UNCCD Focal Point. -Provide a report on the BPOA. This initiative is aligned with the national strategy for sustainable mobility and hazardous waste mitigation. The workshop should help participants align themselves without international standards using locally and regionally available resources. Consultant for Midterm Evaluation – ‘Resilience to hurricanes in the building sector in Antigua and Barbuda’

Purpose & Objective of Consultancy The purpose of the consultancy is to conduct a Midterm Evaluation (MTE) of the GCF project titled “Resilience to Hurricanes in the Building Sector in Antigua and Barbuda”, funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and implemented by the Department of Environment (DoE) in Antigua and Barbuda. The evaluation will provide an independent assessment of the project’s implementation progress, effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, and likelihood of achieving its intended outcomes. The evaluation will also identify lessons learned, areas for improvement, and recommendations for corrective actions to ensure successful project completion. The consultancy will provide an unbiased and comprehensive evaluation that adheres to the Evaluation Policy for the Green Climate Fund. The consultancy will provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the project in its remaining duration and help guide its successful completion. The findings and insights from the midterm evaluation will also inform future climate adaptation initiatives, particularly in the context of building resilience to hurricanes in Small Island Developing States (SIDS). (RFP) Request for Proposal Videography Services: Production of Four Short Films for the SLIM Project

Purpose & Objective of Consultancy The Department of Environment, is seeking qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Consultant – Videographer / Media Production Specialist The objectives of the Consultancy are – Produce four high-quality short films (5–10 minutes each) to document and promote the SLIM Project’s goals, community impact, and outcomes. – Produce 4 teaser videos (30-60 seconds each) for each film for social media usage Scope of Work The scope of work is understood to cover all the activities necessary to accomplish the stated objectives of the project including but not limited to the following: Pre-production: Planning, scripting support, location scouting, and scheduling interviews in collaboration with the DOE. Filming: Capturing high-quality video and audio at various SLIM project sites, events, and relevant locations across Antigua and Barbuda. Post-production: Editing, sound design, color correction, captions/subtitles, and delivery in digital formats. DoE Summer Internship Program 2024

DOE Summer Internship Program 2024 Purpose and Objective The aim of the internship is to meet concrete outputs and targets of the programs and projects of the DOE and to provide students with real life experience in the demanding field of environment. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)– contribute to project design; receive training on the M&E Framework; contribute to the design of tools and templates for data collection and analysis as well as the development of M&E plans, indicators, monitoring and reporting calendars, and field reports; Perform field work and conduct regular data collection to measure achievements against performance indicators, work plans, budgets and schedules, etc; provide support for the conduct of monitoring and evaluation activities; contribute to reporting on project performance; contribute to the development of monitoring reports, project progress reports, baseline assessments and evaluation reports; engage in capacity building and knowledge sharing activities and contribute to the development of knowledge products, and other information materials; and capture and share lessons learned. Environmental Information System (EIS)– contribute to the management of the National Environmental Data & Information System (NEIS), including data collection on environmental indicators, assist in populating the NEIS online platforms, analysing the data presented on the NEIS and contributing to training on the NEIS. Support the development of the Environment Registry, including data collection, populating the Environment Registry, analysing the data presented on the Environment Registry and communicating with relevant stakeholders.. Use the data collected to prepare the annual State of the Environment Bulletin. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) – contribute to data collection and analysis for inclusion in the National Adaptation Plan baseline data summary chapter; contribute to the maintenance of the Environmental Information Management and Advisory System (EIMAS) geodatabase including quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) assessments and the Natural Resources Inventory (NRI) online platform; create cartographic information products. This intern will receive training in field and desktop data collection, database management, desktop GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS), and field data collection using KoBo Toolbox, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) handheld units, and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). The intern will be exposed to practical applications of GIS workflows including network analysis and flood mapping. Experience with GIS coursework is a desirable criteria. Please note – Only prior internship graduates and candidates with a Masters Degree are eligible for the Apprentice Programme.
