Pollution Prevention & Control

Pollution Prevention & Control Per Part 5 of the EPMA, the Pollution Programme seeks to establish a pollution registry that will catalogue sources of pollutants disaggregated by levels of toxicity. Under this programme, the Department of Environment is also responsible for issuing pollution control permits and ensuring the publication of Notices of Intent. Biodiversity and Ecosystems Management Through this programme, the Department of Environment monitors environmental conditions in collaboration with government agencies, statutory bodies and non-governmental organisations. Climate Change Programme As an accredited entity to the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the climate change programme makes up the majority of the Department of Environment’s portfolio.
