NAP Project National Adaptation Planning in Antigua and Barbuda (NAP) Project Goal The goal to contribute to the global goal on adaptation in the Paris Agreement – to enhance adaptive capacity, strengthen resilience and reduce vulnerability to climate change (Article 7.1.). The project will achieve this goal by engaging in adaptation planning processes and supporting implementation by developing national climate assessments with climate resilient sector plans for 6 sectors, synthesizing priority actions into a National Adaptation Plan (NAP), and conducting technical studies in preparation for implementation of new climate regulations. AF -McKinnons Project An integrated approach to physical adaptation and community resilience in Antigua and Barbuda’s northwest McKinnon’s watershed Project Goal To reduce vulnerability of the community, by increasing the ability of the watershed to handle extreme rainfall, while increasing the resilience of the built environment simultaneously to cope with the multiple stressors of climate change. This integrated approach will ensure that the community as a whole will be able to withstand projected climate change impacts while the ecosystems can accommodate increased rainfall.
